Rudy "Richie" Gallegos Jr.

September 5, 1971 — March 5, 2025

Phoenix Arizona

Rudy Gallegos Jr., affectionately known as "Richie," departed from this world on March 5, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by his cherished wife, Lisa Gallegos. He graced the earth with his presence on September 5, 1971, and leaves behind a remarkable legacy filled with love, creativity, and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear.

Richie’s journey began in Phoenix, where he attended Central High School, graduating on May 31, 1990. It was there that he developed bonds that would last a lifetime. His spirit was vibrant and full of life; he was rambunctious as a child, spending countless hours riding bikes with friends throughout the neighborhood. This adventurous spirit carried over into his adulthood as he channeled his creativity through D.I.Y projects, always finding joy in sharing his creations with loved ones. He possessed a unique talent for fixing cars, a testament to his generous nature, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Richie was known for his big heart, and it was this quality that drew people towards him throughout his life.

Above all, Richie’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Josie Alvarez, Jonathan Rocha, Monique Gallegos, Phalisia Gallegos, Rudiann Gallegos, Diamond Gallegos, Rudy Gallegos III. He poured his love into each of them, often stating how they were his world. His children reflect his loving spirit: Jonathan Rocha offered words that echo the essence of their bond, saying, “The only man that deserved for me to call him dad, and I’m proud of that.” Monique, Phalisia, and Rudiann chimed in with, “The best dad a girl can have,” encapsulating the love they shared.

Richie’s family extended beyond his beautiful mother Maria M. Green and his children; he was a devoted husband to Lisa Gallegos and had previously married Rebecca Gallegos. His family tree flourished with sisters Jeanette, Sarita, and Gloria Gallegos, along with grandchildren who brought him immense happiness: Nevah, Anastasia, Jonathan Rocha Jr., Holly and Ava Rocha, Natalie, Joaquin, and Olivia Lujan, Justin Burwell, Tara and Tasha Cherry, Jew’ell Session and Marcos Garcia, Josiah and Ezekiel Tittsworth, and Luna Ramirez. Each of his grandchildren carried a piece of his heart, and he held an undying affection for them.

Richie also created a tapestry of love through his nieces and nephews, including Sandy Iriqui, Xavier Gallegos, Serenity, Vince, Zoey, Aaron Clark, and Gia Gallegos, who will remember the warmth of his spirit forever.

As we reflect on the life of Rudy Gallegos Jr., we honor not only his accomplishments but the remarkable impact he made on those around him. He is preceded in death by his father, Rudy R. Gallegos Sr., daughter Brashell Ann Rodriguez, step-father Richard E. Green, and his first wife Rebecca Gallegos, along with his beloved grandmother, Gloria Morado.

A memorial service will be held on March 24, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a man who was truly loved by all and will be missed profoundly.

Richie, your love, laughter, and devotion have left an indelible mark on this world and within the hearts of all who knew you. You may have left this earthly realm, but the love you shared will continue to resonate for generations to come.
