Ruben Rivera Gonzales

Ruben Rivera Gonzales, born on October 17, 1950, in the serene surroundings of Avondale, was called to rest on July 21, 2025. He spent his final moments in the place he held dear, surrounded,ond memories and the heartwarming essence of his life.

Ruben was a devoted father to his children: Anna Gonzales, Ruben Jr. Gonzales (Carmela), and Adelina Gonzales. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren—Victor, Alyana, Aidan, Connie, and Heather—who brought him immense joy throughout his life. Additionally, he was a proud great-grandfather to Anyastasia and Willow, who were a source of delight in his later years. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Angel Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales, Saul Gonzales, David Gonzales, Jeanie Gonzales, Irene Gonzales, Sandra Ortega, Mary Ann Gonzales, Yolie Gonzales & Rebecca Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Betty Gonzales, who left this world in 2022, as well as his loving parents, Lydia and Angel Gonzales. They have left an enduring imprint on Ruben’s life, shaping the values and the loving spirit he carried with him.

The services in honor of Ruben are arranged for August 8, 2025, beginning with a viewing at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following the viewing, a burial service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 9925 West Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ, commencing at 1:30 PM and concluding at 2:30 PM.

Ruben Rivera Gonzales’s life was marked by love, family devotion, and the indelible mark he left on those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends as they navigate life without his physical presence but with his spirit guiding them always.
