Ronald was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War as an interpreter, a role that framed his abiding commitment to his country and his community. He would later channel that dedication into a successful career as a lifelong insurance agent, a profession he embraced with vigor and passion, becoming a respected figure in his field. His contributions extended beyond the workplace; Ronald served as Commander of the American Legion Post 61 in Avondale for five years, where he made lasting connections and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

With an infectious spirit, Ron was known far and wide for his outgoing and hilarious personality. His laughter echoed through rooms, inviting others into his warm orbit. Friends and family alike treasured his witty charm and infectious energy. An adept cook, he relished in preparing a magnificent prime rib every Christmas, gathering loved ones around the table to share in both food and joy—a true feast for the heart as much as for the stomach.

Ronald’s passions extended beyond his career and culinary talents. He had a deep love for golfing, where he found both relaxation and exhilaration in the game. Affectionately known for enjoying a good gamble, he savored the thrill of taking chances, often accompanied by a shot of whiskey—particularly a strong mix of Jim Beam and 7-Up—along with the comfort of a Marlboro Red by his side.

He leaves behind his beloved sons, Ray R. Ross II (Laura) and Kyle Ross (Danielle), alongside his stepchildren, Andrew, Angie, Jason, and Melanie. The legacy of Ronald Raymond Ross continues through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forth his spirit and memories in their hearts.

Ronald is preceded in death by his dear wife, Susan Ross, a profound loss that shaped his journey through life and tempered the love he poured into his remaining family.
