Rebecca Bustos Medrano, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Phoenix, Arizona on September 11, 2025. She graced this world with her presence from December 22, 1959, and touched the lives of so many during her journey.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Rebecca grew up with a zest for life that radiated warmth and kindness. She spent her formative years in Cashion Park, capturing the essence of her upbringing in both Arizona and Kansas, a place she adored. Rebecca's love for her family and friends was evident to all who knew her—she embodied the spirit of togetherness, often gathering everyone around for celebrations filled with laughter and joy.
Her professional journey saw her shine at prestigious companies like Revlon, Pepsico, Sunland Beef, and Hopes Closet. In each role, she brought her dedication and heart, forging relationships that lasted beyond the workplace and left lasting impressions on her colleagues.
In her personal life, Rebecca found solace and happiness in simple pleasures such as indulging in her favorite pasta salad and Jello cakes, celebrating with oldies music that transported her to cherished memories. Her passion for the vibrant color red reflected the spirited personality she exuded so naturally.
Rebecca leaves behind a legacy filled with love and memories, cherished by her surviving siblings: Renee Carranza, Susan Jacquez, Javier Bustos, Robert Anthony Bustos, Celina M. Bustos, Irene Bustos, and Falishia. Additionally, she is survived by a remarkable family of 42 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom were held dearly in her heart.
Rebecca was also preceded in death by her beloved family members, Nathan Bustos, Brandy Bustos, Melissa Nelminda, Aquiles Delgadillo, Camilo C. Medrano Jr., Ernestina E. Medrano, Barbakita Medrano, and Jasmine M. Medrano. Each of them played a significant role in her life, and she now joins them in eternal peace.
A visitation to honor Rebecca's life will be held on September 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona. Family and friends are encouraged to come together to celebrate the memories of a remarkable woman who left this world too soon but whose spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all she touched.
