Mikie Trevino

Mike "Mikie" Trevino, a cherished soul and devoted family man, took his final breath on May 16, 2025, in Buckeye, Arizona, surrounded by the warmth of his family's love. Born on April 1, 1982, in the vibrant town of Merced, California, Mike was a product of the sunny streets of Colton and Riverside before finding his true home in Arizona.

As a local logistics transport specialist, Mike navigated the highways and byways with a meticulous touch, pouring dedication into every facet of his career. Yet, it was not just his work ethic that defined him; his moments of joy were often found in simpler pleasures. He had an unabashed love for pasta and could frequently be spotted savoring burgers at the local "In & Out." His affinity for the countryside spoke volumes about his character – he reveled in nature’s embrace, often finding solace and inspiration beneath expansive skies.

While he had a keen appreciation for the subtle elegance of black, it was the vibrant tapestry of relationships, experiences, and memories that colored Mike’s life most vividly. A graduate of Arlington High School, he ventured forth from academia not just with knowledge but with the kind of heart that elevated those around him. Mike took tremendous pride in being the best husband, brother, and dad. His legacy thrives through his children: Krislyn, Savannah, Mason, and Caden, who will forever carry the lessons of love and resilience that he imparted to them.

He is survived by his loving wife Jennie, devoted parents, Joe and Alice Orejel, who nurtured his spirit, instilling values that resounded throughout his life. Father in law Gary Brooks, Mike's brothers Greg (and Sandra) and Joe (and Darlene), along with his sister Marrisa provided him with the camaraderie that only siblings can offer. His relationships extended beautifully into the next generation, encompassing nine nephews – Dominic, Mateo, Harrison, Jackson, Hudson, Oliver, Quinton, Brendan, and Sid – as well as several adored nieces – Salma, Angelica, Alicia, Elena, Madison, Marylin, Audra, and Shireen. Meanwhile, his grandfather, Rojelio Coronado, remained a cornerstone of his family tree, embodying the roots from which Mike grew.

Mike's final moments reflect the true essence of his life: a lasting bond with his family, solidified as they held him close during his passing. Though he leaves behind a physical absence that will be deeply felt, his spirit will continue to resonate in the laughter of his children, the camaraderie of his brothers, the guidance of his parents, and the collective love of a family that cherished him.

As we honor Mike's journey, we invite friends and family to come together for visitations and a funeral service at Avenidas Funeral Chapel located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323. Visitations will be held on May 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, culminating in a heartfelt funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM. In this assembly of heartfelt remembrance, we shall celebrate a life that, despite the brevity of its earthly span, left an indelible mark on each of our hearts.
