Marcus Justin Solorzano, affectionately known as "Markie," was born on July 5, 1995, in Downey, California. It is with heavy hearts that we remember his vibrant spirit and the indelible imprint he has left on the hearts of those who knew him. Tragically, Markie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 8, 2025, in Tolleson, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate through the many lives he touched.

Markie was a devoted professional, having worked at Amazon, Food City, El Super, and Ranch Market. His work ethic was unmatched, and he approached each day with a commitment that inspired those around him. Yet, it was his deep spiritual connection and passion for reading the Bible during his downtime that revealed the core of who he was—a seeker of truth and wisdom, a soul yearning for understanding.

A proud graduate of El Rancho High School, Markie's journey was one filled with exploration and creativity. He was deeply passionate about journalism and being an artist, wielding his pen with finesse and letting his creativity flow onto paper. Among his proudest accomplishments was his writing, which conveyed his thoughts and emotions with an eloquence that resonated with many.

His love for life encompassed many things. Markie was particularly fond of the color burgundy, enjoyed indulging in wings and sushi, and found solace in the music of Akon, Post Malone, and Baby Buchannon. His eclectic taste mirrored his vibrant personality, an embodiment of joy and spirited delight.

Yet, above all, it was the time spent with his best friend and father, Marcos Solorzano, that illuminated his days. Their bond was profound, a testament to the deep love and admiration that marked their relationship. Family meant everything to Markie, and he cherished his relationships with his mother, Frances Rivas; sisters, Ashley, Vannesa, and Lisa; brother, Allen; his grandmothers, Mary Rivas and Fidella Escamilla; grandfather, Edward Rivas; along with his cherished nieces, Leilani and Liam, and his nephews, Jaden and Noah.

Markie's memorial service will be held on April 28, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona, commencing at 12:00 PM. As we gather to celebrate his life, we will remember a young man who approached the world with kindness and love, who sought deeper connections, and whose spirit will live on through his words, his family, and the memories forged between them.

In recalling our beloved Markie, let us embrace the warmth of his laughter, the fervor of his passions, and the depth of his love, which will forever echo in our hearts. He leaves behind a world that was brighter for his presence and an undeniable legacy of love and light.
