Luis Carlos Trevizo Sr. graced the world with his vibrant spirit on July 1, 1969, in the sun-drenched heart of Phoenix, Arizona. This remarkable man, who traversed the tapestry of life with unwavering independence and an outspoken demeanor, passed away on December 7, 2024, in the very city of his birth, surrounded by the love and warmth of family and friends.

Luis embarked on a journey that began with humble roots and culminated in a tapestry of accomplishment and resilience. He graduated from high school, but it was the school of life that truly shaped him into the stalwart figure he became. A proud veteran, he dedicated his service to the United States Marine Corps, where he found his calling and pride in serving his country—a testament to his courage and commitment. This zeal for strength permeated not only his military service but also echoed in his passion for weight training, symbolizing a vigorous approach to both life and fitness.

Luis was a craftsman, spending his days amidst the hard-working hands of construction. He embraced the camaraderie and grit of those who labor to build, leaving behind him a legacy of shared sweat and determination.

In the tender annals of his life, Luis shared joyful moments as a father to his beloved children, Julia Michalak, Carlos Santa Maria and Alex Trevizo. His memory will persist within his two grandchildren. He also shared a chapter of his life with his former wife, Jolina Santa Maria, creating bonds that will remain woven into the fabric of family. He is survived by his brothers and sisters. He was known for his especially strong bond with his twin brother, Fernando Trevizo.

A catholic service will be held at St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix on January 3, 2025 at 10 AM followed by a solemn inurnment service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1 PM, where his indomitable spirit will be honored with the respect he so profoundly deserves.
