Joseph E. Allen Jr.

Joseph E. Allen Jr. found his beginnings on January 19, 1962, at the Lockbourne Airforce Base in Ohio, a place that could barely contain the spark of spirit he would ignite across various landscapes of his life. Leaving an imprint in each community, from Columbus, Ohio, to the serene peaks of Show Low and the warm embrace of Goodyear, Arizona.

A passionate volunteer firefighter at an engineer status in the White Mountains of Arizona, Joe lived a life steeped in service and dedication. He married his passion for helping others with relentless hard work as a warehouse manager and an astute professional in outside sales for heating and air-conditioning. His commitment to his craftsmanship was matched only by his noble spirit—a testament to his upbringing under two faiths, Baptist and Catholic, which instilled in him the values of hard work, community service, and undying loyalty.

Educated at Blue Ridge High School in Pinetop, Arizona, Joe further honed his skills with All State Fire Training and State Fire School, specializing in tactics and procedures. These formative experiences laid the groundwork for a career where every dispatch call and every customer interaction reflected his dedication to his work and community.

On December 18, 2025, after a long illness, surrounded by his devoted family, Joe drew his final breath in Goodyear, a location he undoubtedly loved, reminiscent of the warmth and companionship. He leaves behind a legacy of strength and compassion.

Joe will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Sylvia Allen, whose unwavering love and support marked every chapter of their journey together. He was a guiding figure to his step-children: Melissa Hall (Brandon), Aaron Goeglein (Stephanie) & Elise Goeglein, each of whom carry forward his lessons of hard work and commitment to family. He finds joy in the hearts of his step-grandchildren, Rebecca, Payton, Matalyn, Nathan, and Grace, each a reflection of his love.

His legacy is further echoed in the cherished memories shared with those who grew up alongside him: William (Bill) Turner, Charles (Chuck) Turner, and Jackie Wheeler, who where family. Raised by his Great Aunt and Uncle, Edward and Juanita Turner, whom he embraced as parents, Joe carried their wisdom in all that he did.

Joseph E. Allen Jr. will be dearly missed, not just for the achievements he reached but for the heart he shared with so many. He leaves a world transformed, a life commemorated by those touched by his presence, a true testament to the man who lived fully and loved deeply.
