Jose Daniel Santoyo-Encinas, affectionately known as "Danny," was born on May 30, 1990, in Phoenix, Arizona. He passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
A High School graduate of the Class of 2008, Danny possessed a bright and inquisitive mind, embodying an unquenchable curiosity about the world around him. His interests were diverse; he enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, and painting, finding joy in day trips to the serene landscapes of Sedona, Arizona. Music flowed through his soul, and whether it was rock, classical, or rap, Danny could always be found either playing his guitar or listening to his favorite tunes. His love for good food was unmatched—nothing brought him more comfort than a perfectly cooked steak or his beloved Chicken Alfredo.
Danny's heart was truly as open as his mind. He had enough love for everyone, embracing life with an infectious positivity that brought people together. He shared profound and meaningful connections with his family and friends, evidence of which is seen in the deep sorrow felt by those he has left behind.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Alyssa Santoyo, and their two cherished children, Caleb and Anaya Santoyo. His family also includes his devoted mother, Veronica Encinas, and his siblings, Lisette, Luis, and Edgar. A special mention goes to his grandmother, Bertha, who loved him dearly, as well as his caring mother-in-law, Cinnamon Vasquez, and father-in-law, Jesus Mendoza. Danny is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Anthony, Pilo, and Aaron, and sisters-in-law, Miranda and Alina, along with several nieces and nephews who adored him.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Rafael Santoyo, and brother-in-law, David, both of whom are fondly remembered in the hearts of the family.
A Celebration of Life honoring Danny will be held at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona, on September 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Though Danny's life was cut short, the impact he had on those around him will live on forever. His memory will continue to inspire all of us to love fiercely, embrace every adventure, and live life with an open heart.
