With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jorge Contreras, age 48, of Phoenix, Arizona, who peacefully passed away on January 18, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, surrounded by the love of his family. After a courageous battle with health challenges, Jorge found his rest.

Born in Tucson, Arizona on January 1, 1977, Jorge was the youngest of six children, a cherished son and brother. He brought warmth and kindness to all who knew him, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the company of his beloved family. His generous spirit extended beyond his immediate circle, as he dedicated his time to helping those less fortunate. These acts of selfless compassion reflected the depth of his character.

Jorge was preceded in death by his brother, Jesus Contreras. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by his mother, Virginia Contreras; brothers, Juan Contreras, Tony Contreras, and Fernando Ramos; and sister, Cecilia Nunez.

A visitation for Jorge will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, Avondale, Arizona. Out of respect for the family, guests are kindly requested to arrive no earlier than 2:30 PM.

Jorge’s memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He will be remembered not only for his quiet strength but also for the immeasurable love he shared with the world.
