Erica Rene Gooding, a beloved hair stylist and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at home in Tempe on July 15, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on January 12, 1985, in Avondale, Arizona, Erica was a vibrant spirit known for her bubbly personality, infectious smile, and hearty laughter that resonated with everyone she met.

Erica’s journey through life was marked by her dedication to her career and her passion for bringing joy to others. After completing her education at High School and Beauty School, she embraced her role as a hair stylist, helping clients feel beautiful and confident while cultivating lifelong friendships. Her artistry was matched only by her warm disposition, making her a beloved figure in her profession.

Her love for life extended beyond her career. Erica cherished spending quality time with her family and friends, often taking her two beautiful daughters, Alexandria and Keira, to the park where laughter filled the air and memories were created. She delighted in good music, a few drinks, and joyous gatherings that brought her loved ones together. Visits with her dear Nana and Tata were particularly special to her, as they allowed her to connect with her roots and share stories filled with warmth and laughter.

Erica’s favorite color, Army Green, reflected her vibrant spirit and strength—a testament to the woman she was. Her adoration for Betty Boop symbolized her playful side and her appreciation for the things that made her smile.

Erica leaves behind her loving husband, Edward "Eddie" Gooding, who was her steadfast companion in life, and her adoring children, Alexandria and Keira, who were the joy and light of her life. She is survived by her mother, Veronica Cordova, her mother-in-law, Allma Gooding, and her brother, Lionel Jimenez
