Born in Benson, Arizona to Maria de Los Angeles and Jose Cheverria. She survived her 5 other siblings, Kelita, Rachel, Hector, Chuco, and Josephine. She became a widow in 2010 and shortly after lost her daughter Katrina in 2016, then her son, Joseph in 2019. She leaves behind her two daughters Susan, and Jessika and her grandchildren, Monika, Julissa, Rachel, Suzy, Elias, Joseph Daniel, Cielo, Santos, and will join Jessica “Little Reene” when she enters the pearly gates of heaven. A loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, Mother, wife, sister in-law, and friend to all with a jungle full of elephants. She loved elephants, and made sure those that entered her home left her home with a full belly. She devoted her faith to the Catholic Church and made sure to introduce the Good Lord to everyone she met. If there is one thing she believed and taught others, it was that God provides in all things. Her role as a caregiver started at an early age from caring for her Tias, brothers, mother and eventually her own family. Nurturing those close to her was second nature. She was kind to everyone and loved by all. Everyone that knew her, knew her by her spicy sass and her love for dancing. There were two things she asked of her daughter Jessika, which were to never be left in a nursing home and to never let her get fake teeth. God made that possible with 24 hour care by Rachel, Elias, Jessika and David, with routine Sunday outings with her daughter Susan aka “Tuti.” The one thing we will remember most is that you can survive on coke (liquid not powder) and coffee. She will be forever loved and missed.
