Elizabeth Marie Avalos, affectionately known as Lizzy, graced the world with her vibrant spirit from April 24, 1988, until her untimely departure on April 2, 2025. Born in the sun-kissed city of Phoenix, Arizona, she illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A woman of remarkable warmth and undeniable charm, Lizzy was not only defined by her love for maroon—a shade that complemented her vivacious personality—but also by her deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She found joy in the rhythmic melodies of oldies, often filling her home with music that resonated with nostalgia and warmth. Lizzy delighted in the art of dance, her movements expressing a sense of freedom and exuberance that would inspire all who witnessed them. A dedicated seamstress, she poured her creativity into her sewing projects, producing works that reflected her unique vision and flair.

Lizzy embraced life wholeheartedly, and her love for good pizza was legendary among her family and friends. Whether hosting gatherings or enjoying quiet evenings, she savored the moments spent with loved ones around the dining table, where laughter was the main course and conversation flowed richly.

The tragic suddenness of her passing leaves an indelible void, felt deeply by her beloved family. Lizzy is survived by her devoted husband, Porfilio Avalos, and their cherished son, Porfilio Avalos Jr., who, in his eyes, carries forth the spark of his mother's light. Her mother, Isabel Guevara, and father, Francisco Torrez, along with her siblings—Gilbert, Monica Perez, Corinna Mauricio, and Angela Mauricio—mourn the loss of a daughter and sister whose love was boundless and unwavering.

The celebration of Lizzy's life will take place on April 25, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323. The visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance of the joy she brought into their lives.
