It is with both a heavy heart and fond memories that we announce the passing of Dolores C. Martinez, affectionately known to all as Lola. Born on September 18, 1932, in the vibrant city of Phoenix, Arizona, she would go on to illuminate the lives of those around her for nearly a century. Her remarkable journey came to a peaceful conclusion on May 15, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family in her beloved home.

Lola was not just the matriarch of her family; she was the cornerstone, the heart that bound them all together. As a devoted homemaker, she embodied the true essence of care and compassion, nurturing not only her household but also instilling in her children and grandchildren the values of love, respect, and family unity. Her presence was a comforting embrace, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, she cherished spending time with her family, especially relishing the joy brought by her grandchildren. Each moment shared with Gabriela, Marina, Leah, Eddie, Angel, Marcelino, Johnny "Chiki," Vanesa, and Milo served as a treasure, weaving a rich tapestry of memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of her loved ones. Lola's spirit shall resonate through their stories, laughter, and the values she imparted.

As we reflect upon her life, we celebrate not only the individual she was but the legacy she leaves behind. Lola's generosity of spirit, her unwavering dedication to her family, and her ability to find joy in the simplest moments were qualities that endeared her to all. She was a beacon of light who fostered connections and built bridges among generations, creating a family history that will continue to flourish in her absence.

The memorial services held in her honor will take place on May 30, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona, beginning at 10:00 AM. A visitation will precede the burial, which will commence at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.

Though Lola has departed from our earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of her sons Richard, Johnny, and Eddie, and in the memories of all who had the pleasure of sharing their lives with her. As we come together to honor her life, we remember her laughter, her wisdom, and an abundance of love that will guide us until we meet again.
