David Mendoza Luna

David Mendoza Luna, a cherished husband, devoted father, loyal son and steadfast brother, passed away peacefully with family by his side at his home Sunday morning, November 24th, 2024. Born on October 4th, 1969. David touched the lives of those around him with his unwavering love, support and the ability to stand strong with his decision making. 

At the center of David’s world is his beloved wife, Virginia Cabrera Luna. Their partnership was one built on love, support, and mutual respect—a true testament to the power of companionship and commitment. Together, they created precious memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew them. David's presence brought strength, stability and laughter to their home, making it a sanctuary for those he loved. 

David’s reach went beyond his immediate family as he touched the lives of many with his dedication to making the ultimate Guamanian BBQ. He spent most of his free time cooking on the custom grill he designed and built specifically for Guamanian BBQ. His unforgettable dishes filled the bellies of many who attended his special gatherings and will be missed dearly. 

David is survived by his beautiful, devoted wife, Virginia Cabrera Luna. He also leaves behind his 5 loving children including Devina and her significant other Anthony, David Jr. and his wife Valerie, Leticia, Lorenzo and his significant other Desiree, and Marissa Luna. His grandchildren include Aaliyah, Dominic, Jojo, Kamia, Zayden, Leilani, Maggie, Anthony Jr., and Samuel. He also leaves behind his father Antonio, and his 5 siblings including Gabrielle, Tony, Leandro, Albert, Alina and Angelica. 

Family and friends are invited to honor David’s memory during a visitation on December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel located in Avondale, Arizona. This gathering will provide a space for everyone to come together to share their memories and celebrate the life of a man who dedicated himself wholeheartedly to those he loved. 

David Mendoza Luna will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the love he so freely gave.
