Corina V. Lira

Corina V. Lira, a beloved mother, partner, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 5, 2025, in Tolleson, Arizona. Born on September 3, 1946, in La Union, New Mexico, Corina touched the lives of all who knew her with her spiritual nature and generous heart.

Corina was a beacon of love and compassion, dedicating much of her life to uplifting those less fortunate. She found immense joy in volunteering at her local church and food bank, where her giving spirit inspired countless others. Her vibrant personality shone brightly, particularly in her favorite color, purple, which reflected the warmth and depth of her character.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will resonate through her family. Corina was the cherished partner of Danny Hernandez for 35 unforgettable years, with whom she shared a life filled with laughter, affection, and unwavering support. She was a proud mother to her sons, Adam and Aaron, step-son Daniel, and step-daughter Leticia, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Her siblings, brothers Manuel and Ray, and sisters Yolanda, Lucy Irene, and Vicky, will also remember her with fondness and love.

Corina’s legacy extends to her grandchildren, Aaron Jr., Aric, and A'siar, Adam Jr. and Madison. Each of them has been profoundly impacted by her nurturing spirit and the love she so freely shared.

Corina is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albina and Adam Valenzuela, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

Her memory will be honored during a visitation scheduled for July 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323.

Corina V. Lira's vibrant spirit, incredible heart, and lifelong dedication to helping others will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
