Claudio "Chalo" Nunez

Claudio Núñez, también conocido como Chalo, un amado esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano, falleció el 15 de mayo de 2025, en Buckeye, Arizona. A la edad de 61 años, partió de este mundo rodeado del amor de su familia, dejando un legado de calidez, bondad y devoción inquebrantable.

Nacido el 23 de agosto de 1963, en Cosala, Sinaloa, México, Claudio llevó una vida rica en trabajo duro y lazos compasivos. Fue un orgulloso graduado de preparatoria, pero su verdadera educación vino de los vastos campos donde pasó tantos años como un dedicado trabajador agrícola y en Campos de Golf. Las tardes de trabajo bañadas por el sol se mezclaban con las risas, ayudando a fomentar un espíritu de resistencia y gratitud que le definía.

El corazón de Claudio era tan amplio como el horizonte, rebosante de amor por su familia. Le sobreviven su valiosa esposa, Josefina González Núñez, y una extraordinaria familia formada por tres hijos y cinco hijas. Cada uno de ellos lleva consigo una parte de su extraordinario espíritu, y cuatro nietas y ocho nietos, junto con un nieto en camino, son testimonio del amor que compartió con los que le rodeaban. Claudio Nunez, fondly nicknmed "Chalo", a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 15, 2025, in Buckeye, Arizona. At the age of 61, he departed this world surrounded by the love of his family, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion.

Born on August 23, 1963, in Cosala, Sinaloa, Mexico, Claudio led a life that was rich in hard work and compassionate ties. He was a proud High School Graduate, but his true education came from the vast fields where he spent so many years as a dedicated Farm Worker and at Campos de Golf. The sun-drenched afternoons of toil mingled with laughter, helping to foster a spirit of resilience and gratitude that defined him.

Claudio’s heart was as expansive as the horizon itself, overflowing with love for his family. He is survived by his treasured wife, Josefina Gonzalez Nunez, and a remarkable family consisting of three sons and five daughters. Each of them carries a piece of his remarkable spirit, and four granddaughters and eight grandsons, alongside a grandchild on the way, stand testament to the love he shared with those around him. The tapestry of his life was woven with the threads of his three sisters and four brothers, whose bond with him stretched across moments filled with joy and heartfelt connection. He held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews who adored him as fiercely as he adored them.

Claudio had a talent for finding pleasure in life’s simple offerings; he took delight in a good Caldo de pollo, savored flavors of fish ceviche, and enjoyed the refreshing chill of Welch’s Grape Juice. His love for gardening reflected his nurturing nature, as he tended to not only his plants and animals but also to the souls who wandered into his life. His evenings were often spent engaged in spirited games of cards, surrounded by laughter and familial camaraderie.

Although he mourns the loss of his father, Pedro Nunez Duran, whose memory will forever enrich the lives Claudio touched, his journey now continues in a place free of suffering, holding on to the love that binds them through the years.

A Viewing will take place on May 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave in Avondale, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to honor Claudio’s remarkable life as they gather to share stories and celebrate the profound impact he left on those he loved.

Burial will be held in in his home town of Cosala, Sinaloa Mexico.
