CAROLYN MINCOLLA OBITUARY

Carolyn Patricia (Masterson) Mincolla passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, in Surprise, AZ. Carolyn was born on Monday, June 22, 1942, in Auburn, NY, the third child of Helen (Calarco) and Anthony Masterson.

Carolyn had many friends growing up and attended Auburn schools graduating from Auburn Central High School, Class of 1960. She loved cooking-especially sauce, meatballs, and pizza, caring for dogs, shopping, going out with her cousins and her friends, listening to live music and was one of the “Legends of Auburn” dancing with her niece Kathy Ryan’s Dance Studio. She was also active at St. Francis Church as a member of the Sacred Heart Society of St. Francis Parish.

Carolyn’s career years were spent at Cayuga County Department of Social Services until her retirement. She also spent many years caring for her brother, Ronnie. In 2012, she and Ronnie moved to Sun City, AZ to be close to her only child Christopher and his wife. Carolyn alwaystried to live life with a smile and could fit in anywhere.

Carolyn is predeceased by her parents and her husband Joseph Tremonte, her brother-in-law Robert R. Ryan Sr., along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Jean Masterson of Peoria, AZ, her sister in Auburn, NY, Arlene P. Ryan, nieces and nephews: Kathy Ryan Rainone, Susan (Patrick) Charles, John A. Ryan, Robert Jr. (Lynnette) Ryan, and Jane (Eugene) Stryker, as well as their children and grandchildren and a Cousin Nicholas (Joan) DeAngelis.

In Arizona, she leaves her son, Christopher Patrick Mincolla, who was the love of her life, her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Mincolla, and their son, Andrew (Chap) Fisher, all of whom she loved deeply.

Carolyn’s funeral Mass will be Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Francis Church followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
