Barbara Ann Czopek Long, 62, of Avondale, Arizona, passed away on February 1, 2024. Born to Joseph and LaRayne Czopek in Chicago, Illinois, on August 18, 1961, Barb attended Glenbard East High School before pursuing a drafting career in Colorado. That is where she met and quickly fell in love with her husband, Roy Long. They were happily married for 39 years.

In addition to her husband, Barb is survived by her children Hannah Offutt of Larkspur, CO.; Loretta Blue of Portland, OR., stepchildren Libby Teafatiller of Clearwater, FL, and Cody Long of Golden, CO. Barbara had 6 grandchildren. Barbara was the youngest of six siblings: Craig (Sheryl) Braun of Isles of Capri, FL.; Joel (Nancy) Czopek of Golden, CO.; MonaJean of Evergreen, CO.; Cheryl (Joe) Rudauskas, of Elizabeth, CO.; and David (Shelly) Czopek of Bend, OR.

A celebration of life for Barb will be held this spring in Colorado, the exact date and location is yet to be determined.

Known for her contagious laughter, Barb enjoyed gardening, collecting nicknacks, fishing, her yorkies and exploring gem and mineral shows with her sisters and mother. She had a creative touch, especially in making jewelry, and was famous for her delicious Polish food and green chili. Barb adored her grandchildren and loved spoiling them. Her love for her husband, Roy, was evident to all who knew them.

The family welcomes condolences and tributes during this difficult time.
