Albert Mendivil, affectionately known as Butch, was born on August 20, 1971, in Phoenix, Arizona. He passed away peacefully in his hometown on April 19, 2025, after a long illness, surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Throughout his life, Albert exemplified dedication and hard work, particularly in the Aerospace industry. Although he did not graduate from South Mountain High School in South Phoenix, he embraced the "school of life" philosophy, stepping into the workforce at the young age of 16. This early start not only shaped his career but also instilled in him a remarkable work ethic for which he will always be remembered.

Albert truly was a free spirit, a man of warmth and love who radiated joy wherever he went. His faith as a Roman Catholic fortified his character, guiding him through both challenges and celebrations. Those who knew him can attest to his caring nature—he always had a smile ready, a testament to his vibrant personality.

As he journeyed through life from South Phoenix to Avondale, Albert enjoyed the sights and sounds of Arizona, fully embracing its beautiful landscapes. He found contentment in travels to California, which held a special place in his heart. Music was another deep passion of his: he loved the beats of 80's House and the raw energy of 90's Heavy Metal. His favorite color, yellow, reflected his bright and cheerful spirit, complemented by his love for lasagna—a dish that would always bring him joy.

Albert was more than a hard worker; he was a family man at heart. He spent countless hours creating memories with his loved ones, whether it be at Castles and Coasters, parades, or simply tinkering at home. Together with his beloved wife, Dina Moroyoqui, whom he married for an incredible 40 years, they built a life brimming with love and laughter. Their union flourished, giving rise to three wonderful children: Carmela Leal (Robert), Nicholas Mendivil, and Albert Mendivil (AJ) (Mea). The legacy of love continued to grow with the addition of eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren—Ollie, Annabel, Jonjon, Luna, Cora, Lucca, Fallon, Mikasa, Marlina, and Molly—each of whom held a unique and significant place in his heart.

Albert's pride in his work was evident through his numerous accomplishments, particularly in laser creation awards, where he delighted in seeking innovative and practical solutions. His professional pursuits were only matched by his commitment to his family and friends.

While Albert leaves behind a loving community, he is reunited in peace with his sister, Cecilia (Sally), and his beloved parents, Lucy Soto and Alber Guerra, who have gone before him.

As we gather to reflect on the life of this exceptional man, it is clear that Albert Mendivil's impact will forever be felt. His laughter, his spirit of adventure, and his unwavering love for family and friends will be cherished memories held dearly in our hearts.
